Beaulieu Australia began as Sterling Carpet Mills in Queensland in 1973. In 1995, Beaulieu of America acquired Sterling to establish a manufacturing presence in Australasia. In 2000, Beaulieu further strengthened its position by purchasing Vogue Carpet Mills, merging both operations in Rocklea.
Steady growth and an expanding product range led to the construction of new premises at Ormeau in 2003 and a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in 2017, enhancing efficiency and technology.
In July 2018, Beaulieu Australia integrated into Beaulieu International Group, ensuring continued growth, a diverse product profile, and financial security. Today, Beaulieu Australia is a market leader in environmentally sustainable floorcoverings in Australia.
We have invested $26 million in a 5 Star, Green Star production facility in Queensland, along with $7 million in new plant, equipment, and IT systems. Our facility is the world’s only new dedicated broadloom carpet manufacturing site, featuring smart building technologies like LED lighting with sensors, a 100-kilowatt solar energy system, rainwater collection, water-efficient fixtures, and integrated fingerprint security for payroll.
At Beaulieu Australia, our skilled team operates advanced machinery to ensure every carpet meets our high standards. From selecting premium raw materials to implementing sustainable practices, they oversee production to deliver superior carpet solutions.
